Personalization of Reaction-Diffusion equations for the modeling of cardiac electrophysiology and brain tumor growth

This presentation will focus on the coupling of reaction-diffusion models and their approximations with medical images and signals. A common problem that arises in this coupling is the identification of some of those models parameters from patient specific data, a.k.a. personalization. Two works in progress at the INRIA Asclepios team will be highlighted in this presentation. The former is related to the modeling of cardiac electrophysiology and its personalization from intracardiac catheter measurements. The latter aims at quantifying objectively the growth of brain tumors of low and high grades.
